Food Pantry

Linda Cole

Bethany Baptist Food Pantry was started in 2006 as a way of helping to feed the hungry in Johnson County. We are in the process of teaming up with Second Harvest Food Bank in Johnson City. This will allow us to do two things; one, have a first-hand knowledge of people in the county that might need extra food for the month and second, we will be able to purchase more food for our dollars.

We can make sure that you will have food for at least 2-3 days in the bag that you receive from our church and items for each meal. We also carry some infant formula and baby food. As a church, we felt there was a need in this area and wanted to be able to do as God has commanded us to do in the Bible:

“For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in.” “Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.” -Matthew 35, 40B

If you know of anyone in the community that we could help in any way with this ministry, please call Bethany Baptist Church at 727-5527 or call Linda Cole at 768-2416.
